
OUR SUCCESS
Since August 2004, Dynamic Safety Solutions has been assisting
another medium sized employer of 17 people in the Goldfields
to manage their occupational health and safety resposibilities.
An OHS Plan was developed with 8 key objectives and targets,
one of which was to reduce the workers compensation premium which
was renewed in February 2005. The following graph shows the result.

Despite a 30% increase in the estimated wages (payroll) for
the 2005/2006 year, the employer managed to achieve a rate reduction
primarily due to the low number and cost claims in the 2004/2005
year, and in recognition of the OHS plan being implemented.
The workers compensation premium paid remained the same for
the 2005/2006 year, however an additional reward was given to
the business in the form of a claims experience discount ($5,770)
and a Risk and OHS Rebate of ($3,675). If the rate had remained
the same and no rewards were offered, the business would have
been $24,785.00 worse off.
